While visiting my son in Monterey and staying in Santa Cruz my friend suggested this awesome breakfast spot. The food was fresh and delicious! So much I went back the next day. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the Santa Cruz, CA area.
Super cute atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Salmon Benedict was amazing. Cold brew mocha was tasty.
Best breakfast I've ever had! The freshest fruit, tastiest bacon, and absolutely fantastic French toast and pancakes. The huevos rancheros was also incredibly delicious. We also had the club and CAB sandwiches for lunch the previous day, which was also excellent. Highly recommend. Best food in the area.
Love this place. I can say it can be a hidden gem. It is family run business and has been around for for decade. They serve American style dishes which you will find at most of American Diner place. We arrived for brunch/lunch and it was busy that time. They have indoor and outdoor sitting and we chose outdoor. It was nice sitting area where you can freely speak. We order Benedict's Place, Don Juan Salad, just two eggs, potato and taost, extra bacon and chicken fried steak. the portion is good and price wise, they are reasonable. The food was yummy. I like the benedict and also fried steak and the gravy. Overall service was ok.
I had to get my order to go, so I can’t properly review the service at the table, but with the encounter I had while ordering they were AMAZING, very kind, funny, and just a pleasure to talk to. When our food did come out they added in a bunch of sauces and packets that I wasn’t even sure I needed, it felt like you were truly being taken care of. The food itself even after a 12 minute drive home was incredible, if I had to choose a criticism it would the lack of seasoning on the potatoes BUT this didn’t take away from the phenomenal dish! I will definitely recommend this establishment, and I will absolutely be coming back to dine in this time
Heavenly Roadside Cafe 1210 Mt. Hermon Road, Scotts Valley, CA Late breakfast, early lunch for three, on the way to another destination. Place recommended by somebody (10Q!). Friendly-looking ranch house, large and airy dining room. I go straight to the restroom (after a long ride). Somewhat old-fashioned, in a good way, everything works, and immaculate. Big points. Taking a wrong turn coming back, encounter another large dining space completely filled by diners. I'm thinking - wow, this place is happening, for those in the know. Isabella, our friendly, beatiful and well-informed server appears, and answers a few dozen questions from my darling wife, without breaking a sweet smile. The order arrives in good time - 1. Large delicious kale (allegedly) salad and some type of a complicated egg dish for the wife 2. French toast for my boy (with locally baked bread, according to Isabella), with about a pound of perfectly cooked bacon on the side 3. And, agains my son's better judgement (because this is supposed to be a breakfast/brunch spot), I get a Ms. Piggy burger - a half pound of perfectly cooked and assembled deliciousness with all the fixings, and too much fries Nobody left hungry. A gem of an eatery! I'LL BE BACK
What can we say, it was incredible ! So many great selections, and the quality was outstanding. I had the biscuits and gravy with some scrambled eggs, and she had French Toast and bacon and eggs, the bloody Mary was great and so was the coffee, we highly recommend this great establishment
